Awesome news! The Word Alive (TWA) have announced their new drummer following the departure of ex-drummer Luke Holland in November 2016.

ICYDK: Holland left the band to pursue other musical pursuits.

Matt Horn will now take on the role of (touring) drummer. Horn has previously worked with TWA on their album, ‘Life Cycles’ and teched drums.

Watch a drum play through by the new TWA drummer in the video below.

The band revealed the news in a statement which was released via TWA’s Facebook page – read the band’s statement in full below.

“A new chapter in The Word Alive’s story has begun. We’ll be turning over the touring drummer duties to our long-time friend Matt Horn. Those who have followed our journey for years know him as our long time drum tech and the performer on our album ‘Life Cycles. We believed after much deliberation that the best path for us, was to keep things in the TWA family. Matt has been one of our biggest supporters and it is our honor to give him this well-deserved opportunity!”
